Original Incase Slim Bag

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD
Bought a couple years ago from the Lowend, still in great shape. I don't use it anymore. When I did it was to church and back. The original has the adjustable neck support, wedges for different body shapes, smooth inside finish. Never received a Rain Tarp with it. Let's say $165 shipped.(obo, but no trades)
Below is some of the differences according to TB'er KJung-

IMO, this is the best bag EVER.

The primary difference between the older model (which I greatly prefer) and the newer is:

1) Newer has 'fur' lining on the interior, original has a more nylon type interior covering

2) Straps... the original had large, padded, high quality back pack straps of traditional design. The newer model used the extremely heavy duty 'alpine' backpack system with the waist belt, etc. that is used on the DUB bag... overkill for me

3) The original had two extra external pockets that I love. They were originally designed to hold the 'airline hanging hook' and the rather goofy 'rain tarp'. However, they are perfectly designed to hold a spare pack of string in the small one and (this is the coolest thing) any charts that you need to carry with you to a gig. That larger 'extra pocket' is very cool for standard sized charts.... you can fit 15-20 of them in there, and they don't get all wrinkled and crinkled.

Everything else is the same as far as I remember.

I'm a little confused - this is the older, 'better' bag?

Yep, do a search on the "original incase slim. No bulky "backpack system, no fake fuzzy fur inside to hold moisture, adjustable neck and body supports. Sometimes the original is better than the latest.

These are really nice bags. I have one.

Nice looking J bass. What color is that? It looks like burgundy mist on my monitor.

It (the J) looks more copper-ish to me, and I love the matching headstock.

Burgundy Mist would be correct, lighting in room was not good. Thanks for the comments.

Hmmm! Mine must be an earlier one. I don't have the wedges for mine. But it still seems to hold the bass firmly in place.
