PART OUT: Two simply gorgeous Warmoth Jazz basses

Decided to part these out. The only thing NOT for sale is the fretless neck.

Domestic shipping included in price. International considered but you will pay actual shipping and insurance. I am willing to negotiate cash offers. I am willing to consider trades, but only if they include cash on your side.

All prices o.b.o. ("or best offer")

IMPORTANT: I will give preference to "larger" orders - in other words, I'm more likely to sell the loaded body than just the pickups. Even if I get an offer on the pickups first. I'd like to minimize the amount of disassembling I need to do.

Jazz # 1: Warmoth Pau Ferro/Birdseye Maple Jazz
One of the most beautiful basses I've ever put together. Body and neck are Warmoth. Gorgeous pau ferro top laminate over mahogany body. Amazing birdseye maple neck with clear gloss finish and abalone dot inlays. The pickups are Fender USA Jazz single-coils from a Hwy One bass. The preamp is a Glockenklang 2-band (V/Bl/Tr/Bass) - with no center detent on the blend. Note: The electronics are not installed - you will have to wire up the preamp. Babicz Full Contact Hardware bridge and Hipshot knobs. Hipshot ultra-lite tuners. Some minor dings and scratches from hardware changes. Never gigged. It hurts me to put this up for sale but it's just extraneous in my collection.

Loaded mahogany/pau ferro body (electronics not installed) - $375
Loaded birdseye maple neck - $325 SOLD
Empty mahogany/pau ferro body body $275
Babicz Full Contact Hardware bridge - $75 (will not sell separately unless body sells first)
Jazz pickup set (from a USA-made Hwy One Fender) - $40 (will not sell separately unless body sells first)
Hipshot Ultra-Lite tuners - $75 Sold with neck

I've updated the pictures since the birdseye maple neck will be sold on Saturday.

Here are some pictures of the body with the Babicz bridge and Hwy One pickups... I found a couple TINY flaws - a very small ding on the upper horn and some scratches around the bridge from changing it out a few times... VERY hard to capture in photos:

Here are the original pictures when the neck was still on (again, the neck is SOLD.)

Jazz # 2: Warmoth Fretless Jazz with poly-coated fingerboard
I don't even know how much money I've sunk into this gorgeous beauty, and it makes me a little queasy to think about. Nonetheless, I never play it, and it's way too nice a fretless for someone with my extremely limited fretless abilities. Body and neck are Warmoth. Amazing clear gloss swamp ash body. Flamed maple Precision-bass neck (nut appears to be a 1.6875" maybe even 1.75") with amazing Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. The back of the neck was professionally re-finished in satin by Pat Wilkins and he also did a glass-like poly finish over the fretboard that is tough as nails (BETTER than epoxy, I think.) He also add "side lines" which are little white edge-of-fingerboard marks where the frets would be. EMG active Jazz pickups that sound warm and organic - the only EMGs I've ever liked. TONS OF MWWAAAAAH!! No preamp but there's a battery box since the pickups are active. Fender USA string-through-body bridge.

Loaded swamp ash body - $375 (leaning toward keeping it but still hearing offers)
Empty swamp ash body - $275
Fretless neck - NOT FOR SALE
Fender high-mass string-through-body bridge - $65 (will not sell separately unless body sells first)
EMG JV Jazz pickup set w/ control plate (will not separate controls from pickups) includes Sadowsky-style knobs - $100 (will not sell separately unless body sells first)

Hey , nice basses! Preamp or no preamp installed in the fretless body? Says no preamp in the description, but says empty body (...no preamp) in the part out section, which makes me think that a loaded body would have the preamp...

Sorry, the fretless does not have a preamp but it DOES have active EMGs which required a battery. Everything is installed on the fretless (ash) body.

Very nice looking basses. .......
What size are the ultralites 1/2" or 3/8"?
If 1/2" I'm interested in the cloverleaf tuners.

I'll be next in line for the 1/2 clovers if the first one falls through.

The tuner holes are whatever is standard on Warmoth, which I believe is 1/2" but I'd have to check.

But... I'm not selling individual parts like tuners, necks, etc., unless the larger pieces sell first. For example: I'm not going to sell just tuners unless the neck without tuners sells first. I'm not going to sell just a bridge unelss the body without the bridge sells first.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Birdseye neck is sold.
Might keep the ash body but still taking offers.

Re: Feedback on Warmoth: Everything Warmoth makes is top-notch and Wilkins does a killer fretless coating and amazing finishes in general. Check out his website at Welcome to Pat Wilkins™ Custom Guitars & Finishes - he's the best in the biz for a reason.

Maybe but I am leaning toward keeping the ash body. I'll have to check the weight when I get home.

So, it's just the first bass, less the neck, that is for sale then?

At the present, yes. I've been meaning to move it to a new thread but I've been out of town and just got back.
