Peavey T-40 parts - LOTS OF PHOTOS

Sign in to disble this ad
EVERYTHING IS SOLD!

I had two Peavey T-40's. I picked out parts for one working bass and had a tech assemble it for me and set it up. I'm selling the parts that are left over as I don't want to take the time and expense to try to create a usable bass out of them.

I cannot provide any guarantee, warranty, returns, etc. on these items. I have done my best to describe them honestly and in detail based on what I know or was told about the items. I took a TON of photos as seen below, some with flash, some without, in an effort to capture the condition of the items. I can try to take more upon request. However, note that it's super hard to photograph glossy black objects like the bass body due to reflections.

Payment via verified PayPal. I ship to the verified PayPal address only. Shipping in the US only.

Will consider offers.
  • Bridge and mounting screws. Minor pitting on the saddles, slight rusting to some of the screws, as pictured. But overall in great condition, appears fully functional. It's a bridge, so not much to go wrong here as long as all the parts are there (which they are). $45 shipped. SOLD!
  • Neck plate, screws, and tilt screw. Minor fading of the black background (hard to photograph). $30 shipped SOLD!
  • Black body with strap buttons and shielding. Body is obviously in used shape, gloss isn't so glossy anymore in certain spots, back has a lot of buckle rash which looks more like buckle dents (didn't really cut through, just visually dented the surface), the body edges have a some minor dents but really not that many considering it's age and there's no MAJOR damage anywhere like chunks missing. It's solid and totally usable and I'd guess someone would make good use of this, or want to swap it for their common natural finish body. $50 shipped SOLD!
  • Nut, tuners, and tensioner. SOLD!
  • DIY de-fretted neck - the neck ONLY, no hardware at all. Unless you're skilled with neck refinishing or want to replace the fretboard it's probably useless. Someone did a poor DIY de-fretting. Additionally, there's various dings and dents on the back of the neck. Nothing that appears catastrophic, but it'd be a fairly annoying neck to play on for me as I like mine as smooth and flawless as possible. $30 SOLD!shipped
  • Black pickguard with volume and tone pots, knobs, and caps. The pickgaurd is cracked and faded and worn. I can't see why someone would want it other than to have a truly original one, assuming it is original. But the pots function to my knowledge and of course it has what appears to be original knobs. $40 shipped with the pickgaurd, $30 shipped for just the electronics. SOLD!
  • What appears to be an original output jack I'll give to one lucky buyer of my choosing. SOLD!
  • One (1) blade pickup. The pickup has a two small cracks in the pickup surround, I'd think they'd be easily glued/epoxied back together without issue. I believe the pickup itself is fully functional and without issue. Hooking it to an instrument cable with alligator clips indicates it works though that's all of the testing I physically did. $50 shipped SOLD!

Photos and update description of the two pickups added.

I have one person that's voiced some interest in JUST the neck without the tuners. Assuming that sale works out I'll have the tuners for sale alone later today.

Now the ONLY thing left is the actual de-fretted neck without any hardware. Any takers?
