Preamp, Humbucker, etc from a Squier Jag

Sign in to disble this ad
I have the entire electronics package from a Squier VM Jag for sale. Humbucker pickup, three band preamp with control plate and knobs, battery box and jack. All mounting screws included! Would like to sell as a complete set. Asking $50 shipped in ConUS. Works great. I just decided mod the body with a two pickup passive configuration. Pickup dimensions are 3.5 inches by 1.5 inches.

Is the preamp boost/cut or boost only?

Also, is the pup a 2 or 4 wire?

The pickup is two wire. I have no idea about the preamp. All the specs say is 3 band active circuit. I didn't really play around with it that much before I pulled but it appeared to cut the frequencies as well as boost them when I used it. If anyone else has any info please feel free to share it.

Is the pickup wax potted or epoxy potted?
