This is a routing types device, with a footpedal. You plug in whatever (effects, preamp, samples, etc.) you want into the back, use the little white selector switches to assign the loops to groups (1-4), the big knobs are levels, then use the footswitch to pick which one you want to use.

Someone get this. This is like a rack version of a loooper! Very nice, but I haven't got the gear to use it...
