New thread to clean up and condense all the info. This is a '65 Fender P body that was refinished Fiesta Red (before I got it, so I don't know anything about the refin). It shows wear, with some minor chips and scratches. The neck pocket measures slightly wider than the average P body (about 2.52"), which is not atypical for old Fender stuff. MOST Fender necks would probably fit in it with a little gap on either side - that's how the '61 neck fit on it when I had it built up. It's an aesthetic concern only, not a structural one - but it may bother some people. It's also possible that screws slightly larger than stock may have been used to mount a bridge at one point, but I had no trouble putting a vintage style Fender bridge on it. This is just in the interest of full disclosure; I gigged the bass and believe me - it didn't matter to me or the crowd.
I sold this once, but the buyer wasn't happy about that gap, so I agreed to put it back up for sale in order to refund his money. No other issues with the body - no extra routing or anything. I'll show photos of it built up, but this price is for the body only. $495 shipped to lower 48.
