For Sale: complete JAEBird non reverse Thunderbird body

Sign in to disble this ad
selling my polaris white (nitro) JAE bird body. This body is 100% complete. all you have to do is bolt on a fender style neck with tuning keys and strings to have a complete bass. it's in near mint condition. i modified the the VVT controls to be a master volume, three way rotary switch and master tone. i also smoothed the edges of the pickguard which were rough cut when it arrived and it looks great. the top horn strap button (schaller strap lock type) has been relocated for much better balance (the old hole was filled and touched up with matching nitro). this complete body weighs only 5lbs 9.0 oz on my extremely accurate digital scale so it's pretty much a featherweight (the whole bass weighed well only 7 3/4lbs (7lbs 12.3oz) with the neck). i also paid the upcharge fee for the tummy cut on this one when i ordered it. pickups are the standard seymour duncans with aluminum covers, CTS pots w/switchraft jack.

asking $425 (FIRM) + actual shipping (which will be inexpensive) in the contUSA. paypal is fine. since the box that i'm going to ship it in is small and light enough without a neck, i'm also willing to ship it overseas. for more info, you can email me directly HERE, since my TB PM mailbox is almost always full.

here's the pics of it:

my neck was an allparts jazz bass neck that had res-o-lite tuners on it and it balanced pretty darn well. if i let go of the neck, surprisingly it didn't point to the floor. IMO, relocating the top strap button plus the lightweight tuning keys really helped with that ALOT.
