For Sale Only: Jazz Necks, USA FENDER, WARMOTH

Sign in to disble this ad
Alright, I have 2 pretty necks for sale. No trades please...

First up is a Warmoth Jazz neck, birdseye maple board, birdseye neck. Stainless Steel 6230 frets, Corian nut, steel bars reinforcement, abalone dot markers, it has the screw holes for the Hipshot 3 string retainer bar. It sports a glossy but amazingly non-grippy vintage tint finish from Marty Bell himself (Home) The neck is maybe a year old. Has the turtle Warmoth sticker on the back of headstock, you can peel it off easily. $285 shipped and insured.

Up next is an American Special Fender Jazz neck, built in 2011!! so it is almost new. I have not used it at all, but the neck looks straight and the grain is pretty. Comes with nut and round string retainer. $270 shipped and insured!!
SOLD

Squiers specs vary with age and location, not sure if Warmoth necks would fit without some modifications.
First time I see both Squier and Warmoth misspelled in one post

I'm not familiar with the "Fender American Special" neck--is it from a Fender Jazz bass, or a replacement neck? What's the radius? graphite bars? What size frets?

To me, the American Special neck is thinner front to back than a MIA Standard - has the feel of a Geddy Lee neck.

OK, thanks for the offers but here is the thing. If you are not sure if a Warmoth neck will fit your bass, you may want to do some research, I cannot tell you what will fit your bass because I only used Warmoth or Fender USA Jazzes before, and those 2 will fit for sure.

Bump for a super nice birdseye neck. Remember that the finish is from Marty Bell, to get that nicely tinted finish. I did not want to use Warmoth's finishing because the 2 options are only super clear or nearly orange tinted. I don't know what blend Marty uses but it is glossy yet it does not feel like polyurethane, may be a polyester blend...

That's some real purdy maple on that warmoth. Is it standard or slim taper?

standard taper. I have never tried the slim taper but the Warmoth standard taper is close to my AM Std Fender Jazz's neck which I really like.

Will also consider trades for a good Point and Shoot camera such as Canon S95 (I'll add some cash) or a Nikon S8100. Last time I traveled the SLR was a pain in the ass, although it took beautiful pics.

Great looking neck! Do you have a photo of the heel? With 21 frets (if I counted correctly ) - does it have that fingerboard "overhang?"

yes you counted right, it is 21 frets with the fretboard overhang. Here are pics of the heel as requested.
