For Sale or Trade: Vintage Schaller M-4 Tuners (Gold) Now with Pics!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I have five (5) vintage Schaller M-4 tuners for either sale or trade. These are gold in color. They turn smoothly and steadily. The keys show some wear, but these are pre-1989 tuners. They say "Made in West Germany", which is pretty cool.

$75 shipped CONUS. History and beauty...make them yours.

In the alternative, I would trade them for a nice set of Fender tuners for a project I'm working on. (They need to have the right look, though.)

Try to get pictures up tomorrow, but here's a stock shot.

Bump. These are beautiful tuners.

I would trade them for some Fender tuners I need for a DIY project.

Price Reduction Bump...down from $75 to $65 shipped CONUS. Would still trade for some Fender tuners, could even add cash for the right ones.

I'll sell a set of four for $55 shipped, and keep one for a spare.

Takers?

I have a mid 80's Yamaha BB5000 that is in need of tuners. 4 on bass side and 1 on treble side. Would these work? Sorry I don't have a close up of the back.

Beautiful bass you have.

These tuners are not the standard Fender size, but the smaller diameter. If your bass has standard size tuners, the only way these would work would if you buy some of the aftermarket sleeves/bushings out there.

The tuners are in-line. I don't know of a way to reverse them. They are built on a design similar to the gotoh tuners, just much better, imo. You might be happier with four bass and one treble tuner, but I'd happily sell you these if you wish.

Thank you. I have had her since '89.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll have to opt out and get the correct ones. Was hoping to save a little cash on this, but I just better save my pennies and do it right.

Thanks and good luck

That's a crazy low price!
I have these on my Kawai and they may be the best-feeling tuners I've ever had. Super smooth and positive "action" when you turn them. At $10 each, that's silly low...
Wish I had a project for them, GLWTS!
