Bought it for a few fly dates that didn't happen. It's never been used! I don't have the original box anymore so a local deal would be ideal...not opposed to shipping though. $75 local.

It's very secure when the bass and bag is in there. Probably won't take hundreds of pounds stacked on it's side, but I still take one of my Sadowskys when I have a fly date and have to check it. I love mine, and it's very easy to stroll through and airport or parking lot with.
PS: it will not fit my Sadowky gig bag(they are pretty much a soft case type) but it handles my Reunion Blues gigs bags just fine. I also would not put a lot of things in your gig bag side pocket.

I was hoping I could either do that for super protection for my most prized bass,

|  | Registered User | | Join Date: Dec 2000 Location: Missouri, near Branson | | | nope, you can do two oposing in a keyboard case, but they are much higher (I used to do that before they made these) I'm not sure if they were in the works, but I told them at the time what it was for and that I planed to place basses in gig bags in the keyboard case.
