SOLD* Fender Jaguar Bass Neck - like new **PRICE DROP** $210 SHIPPED

Sign in to disble this ad
The neck is "Geddy-Lee thin" with a rosewood fretboard and aged pearloid blocks from a Black Jaguar bass..so it has the natural colored headstock. Remember, these necks can not be purchased seperately, so they are kinda hard to come by.

I bought this neck from TPLyons a few months ago for my custom bass project and now I think I am just going to get another SX bass or a squier as a backup and concentrate my money on getting a nice lightweight rig to bring to shows.
Here was the old thread: Fender Jazz / Jaguar Parts / Pickups

I paid $250 for this from Tim and I am willing to let it go for $210 (including Priority shipping with Insurance) to anywhere in the 50 United States....yes I will ship it to Hawaii or Alaska!!! The neck is in excellent shape (I'd say 9.8/10) and doesnt appear to have been played much before Tim removed it.

*Wishful thinking...I will trade (and add cash) for an Eden NSP-115, Eden head, lightweight heads/cabs, or a Mustang Bass.

It's a great neck, I loved the look, just cramped up constantly being used to a wider neck. So I swapped it for a Precision neck and sold it. BARELY played.

For some reason I can't see pics. I'm at work and the settings are locked by administrators. Can you email me pics?
y3ksound@hotmail.com. I would buy it $200 shipped if it fits my MIM fender Jazz body.

Does anyone know if this will fit a MIM Jazz body? From the forums I've read, all MIJ Fender Jazz necks should fit MIM bodies.

Don't know. How would I find out? I'm at work right now so I can't really measure.

Sorry to break the news but it won't fit. I found out from a fellow TB'er (Musiclogic aka JC) that the Jag neck is a short scale retro neck meaning that it is slight smaller than the MIA/MIJ/MIM Jazz. Thanks for trying to get the answer for me. Just so you know I would buy it from you if it fit.

Maybe I misunderstood your post but the Jags are not short scale necks. Maybe you just meant it's a little smaller at the heel.

The width of the neck at the heel and the measure amongst the 4 screw holes could really help...

So it's a 1/16" short of 2-1/2"? Interesting. I just bought a Made in Japan Jazz neck that measures 2-9/16" and doesn't fit any of the Fender bodies I have. Did you mount this neck on a Fender body?

I had the neck mounted on a MIA Precision for a bit when I first got the Jag. The neck was too small for me, but I enjoyed the bass, so I swapped necks. Didn't want the Precision to be completely unplayable, so I put the Jag neck on it and it fit fine.

OK...thank you Tim.....

This neck will bolt on to other Fender bodies!

(perhaps my measurements were a little off)

There are talks of me selling the Jag, and someone's interested with the stock neck.

Would you be willing to take payment for the neck, ship it to me, so I can reassemble the Jag, and ship that? Or perhaps mail him the neck and I'll mail the body?

Let me know.

So what bodies does this neck fit exactly? I know you said it would fit the Geddy and not MIA/MIM/MIJ's. How about P's? Sorry for my curiuosity but it's just a really good looking neck. I might just have to buy to look at.
