Could you possibly supply more information about said mystery pup? Like Manufacturer and Model perhaps?

I have looked literally with a magnifying glass and there are no markings at all. The magnet is epoxied to the bobbin assembly, and there is support foam glued to the magnet. It came out of an older peavey (model unknown) and measures 10.2 k ohms so it puts out a decent signal. A red wire comes out of one, a black wire connects the two parts, and a blue wire comes out of the other. It appears well made. Just patching it to a cable and holding it over the strings of my J, it sounds clear and fat esp. the E and A strings. That's all I can tell you. I wouldn't offer it if I thought it was a dud.

EDIT: After looking around TB and other places, my guess would be it came out of a Fury or Milestone
