4. MIM Fretless Neck (converted) - I SWEAR I didn't do this!!!
I got this as an advertised "fretless", not realizing that it was a home defret job. So I pulled the neck off, darkened all of the putty lines, stained it with walnut stain and treated it with tung oil. (I was going to dye it with Fiebings, but I never got around to it!) No issues, good truss rod, very straight. I think it would be a good spare neck, good for somebody who wants to try fretless out for cheap, or a good project if you're thinking of trying an epoxy job!
