I hope you will agree that the mods are cool. The only reason I am selling the body (neck to be sold very soon as well) is that I have just acquired a new Jazz bass, and I need to sell a couple of instruments to make room for it.
Its a 2010 Squier Classic Vibe fully loaded body in excellent shape. Some slight play wear, but no dents or dings. Here's a list of things I have changed or added, in the interest of making it super reliable, and it was just plain fun doing the mods.
-Cavities shielded with copper foil (copper pieces soldered together and grounded).
-Seymour Duncan SCPB-1 pickup
-Cloth covered wiring
-Full-size CTS 250K pots and USA vintage style knobs
-Switched to a vintage style bridge (I think the bridge shown is from an older Squier bass, but any 5-hole Fender type will fit). I just wanted a vintage style bridge.
-Electrosocket milled aluminum jack housing with Switchcraft jack
-Dunlop straplock buttons
Had to plug and redrill the original screw holes to mount a vintage style bridge because the original high mass bridge has a very slightly wider spread (the center hole didn't need it of course). Its all hidden under the bridge. Had to slightly enlarge the holes for the pots on the control plate for the full-size pots, and of course, new knobs to fit the pots.
$140.00, shipped as shown, to the 48 states. No trades please.
