My Frankenbass projects are officially decommissioned (lost my government grant ). I’m done for awhile with wholesale tinkering. Time to play more. My parts and their mojo are for sale:
Squier Jazz neck: Maple/rosewood, ultra-thin, includes Hipshot HB7 tuners (peghead modded from orig. to accommodate new tuners), string tree. Nut shimmed slightly. Great-sounding neck, no fret buzz. $115, shipped. Must sell together. - SOLD
Squier Jazz multi-piece alder body, black, with copper shielding, strap buttons, basic bridge, chrome mounting plate w/ 4 screws, uninstalled white pickguard w/ 10 screws. A couple of minor dents around bottom corner that you feel more than you see. Very nice-looking, sounds, feels great. $115, shipped. - BODY SOLD. Other stuff still available.
Fender Custom-Shop Jazz Pickups. Hot single-coil, nicer than you think. (Surprised me.) Leads extended with additional wire. Includes screws. $75, shipped. - SOLD
’62 Jazz Control Plate w/ stacked knobs, all chrome, wired, 2 add’l caps (.047mf and .022mf) included. Really nice-looking. Innerds not beautifully soldered, but works fine. $55, shipped. -SOLD
Squier Jazz Pickup Set and Squier P-Bass Pickup Set. Covers included. It is what it is. $20 gets ‘em all, shipped. Must sell whole lot together.
AllParts P-Bass Pickguard, 3-ply white, w/ CTS 250K volume and tone pots, jack, chrome dome knobs, 13 screws, wired and ready for pickup. Nearly new. $25, shipped.
Mystery P-Bass Pickup. I bought this used years ago thinking it was a Seymour Duncan QP, and was never crazy about it. I have been informed since posting that it is not a SDQP at all, but it WILL come with the box and instructions. No wires or covers at all. Now $10, shipped. Feeling lucky?
Squier OEM Bridges (2). Very functional bridge with no issues. $10 each, shipped.
Pictures follow. Package deals considered. Paypal OK.

I took the pickguard off, and it looked good enough to keep it off.

| | Uber Bass Geek :p | | Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Middle GA | | The QP pickup has larger pole pieces........... going from your pic, that's not a QPPU.
I'm just curious about something Ed...... I know the 62RI control plate is sold, but how is yours wired? Which pot uses the .022, and which one uses the .047?
thanks

'62 Jazz Control Plate Caps:
Neck: .047
Bridge: .022
FWIW, I have another bass with the same control plate that came to me wired that way.
