Here's a better shot of the body (the one above is a phone pic) - just note that none of the hardware, etc. comes with it.

....and the body is sold. Who's going to jump on this neck before it's gone? Everybody loves a Tele headstock....

This thing is clean. Hardly any wear at all.

To the top for Thursday...

I had an inquiry about shipping to Canada - I'm not opposed to it, but haven't done it before. Would anyone have any advice on what company to use, or whether it's worth the cost on a cheap part like this? Thanks -

I shipped a bass to Canada and it cost me about $80 with insurance at UPS. It will cost the buyer a lot more to get it out of customs. Gotta pay for that free healthcare, eh?

I use USPS

I have shipped bass necks to Canada with USPS Priority Mail International. The neck fits into a free triangle box and you can do the whole thing online with pack & ship. The cost is based on weight and way less than UPS.

+1

Keep in mind though, that unless you ship by EXPRESS you won't be able to get an actual tracking/delivery confirmation number. Priority International doesn't offer it. You'll get a Customs number, and that may assist in the event of a lost package, but no actual delivery #.

No worries if you're familiar with the person you're shipping to, but if it is a "unfamiliar customer", then you might inquire about Express International...more money, but the added security of tracking is worth it.

Just my experience.

And yeah....UPS and FEDEX are WAY more $$$

Thanks for all the input, guys. And it helps me confirm my thought, which is that for a Squier neck I'd rather keep things easy and do this somewhere in the lower 48.

Someone needs this thing, I know it......

Price drop for the neck: now $90 shipped to the lower 48. And this is bottom line, otherwise I'll keep it for now.

Is nut width like a jazz (1.5") or precision (1.75")?

Thanks

I don't have it with me at the moment, but I'm pretty sure it's in between, like 1 5/8. More like a P profile though.
