I have a spare top plate for the Steinberger XL series basses I picked up to do a custom top I used to own an XL-5n (same as XL-2).
The top is in very good condition, has holes for the pickups, has the inserts for the screws to mount to the body. No logo and 'unfinished' - it's a flat black color, perfect for painting and having an extra plate to make a very custom looking 'berger w/o ruining your original top plate!
