Alas the Great String Shuffle has come to an end, and I think I've finally settled. What that means is that I have a load of strings to unload. Here we go.
FLATWOUNDS (cut for a 34" 5 string: 4 up 1 down Gotoh tuners. However they'll probably fit a 3x2 config as the D string is cut the longest (#4 on the 4x1)
$15: D'Addario Chromes (5st).
$20: D'Addario Halfwounds (5st)
ROUNDWOUNDS (cut for different basses other than the 4x1 config)
$15: D'Addario Stainless rounds (5st). Cut for 34" 3x2 Schaller tuners
$20: D'Addario Stainless rounds (4st). Cut for 34", 4 inline (Fender P, i.e. large tuning pegs)
$20: Warwick Stainless rounds (4st). Cut for 34" 2x2 Gotoh tuners
And lastly:
$15: Elixir 5-string set, strung for a 35" scale 3 up 2 down Gotoh tuners. Not used much, but some of the coating is starting to fray on the E string. They were new on a Schecter Stiletto 5. They were only on for a short while when I was a noob. I started cleaning them with a string cleaning solution, and I noticed the E didn't look the same as it did (before I realized Elixirs are coated). So I took 'em off, and they've been sitting in a box for about 5 years, for what that's worth. For $15, it might be worth a shot to see if you like them before springing the full monty for a new set.
Thanks for looking.
