SX Jazz Body Ltd Sunburst + Tort PG + Dlx Bridge

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, I'm on a strict 'parts for projects that have sat around with absolutely no progress for more than a month gotta go' trip...so...I bought this here a while back and the neck I was going to use it with just didn't look right to me (for some reason maple + pearl blocks wasn't doing it).

This is a SX Jazz body, the Ltd. one, 3T sunburst. Grain looks like Ash to me. Includes mounted tort pg and thumbrest anchored between the two pickup routes. Body in really good shape except some extra holes drilled/filled for bridges (most likely covered by whatever you mount), currently will fit a Badass and probably a standard Fender too. Weight (with pickguard and thumbrest is 5.8 pounds on my digital bathroom scale. Neck pocket measures just over 2 1/2" wide by 3 3/4" long...a MIM Jazz neck fits with a slight gap between the upper (G string) side and the cut into the body. An SX neck fits pretty snug. Height, is 3/4" which is a little deeper than a Fender pocket. Price is $60 plus actual shipping OBO.

I also have an SX high-mass bridge (sold with the Ltds only, it's a pretty nice design -- similar to my Roscoe Beck IV but without the locking bridge pieces) for $15. Both items for $70 plus actual shipping OBO. Will split up.

Trades -- currently looking for a Demeter Compulator (of course I'd add cash), or a Squier VM Precision body.

PM for questions/info. And yeah, the other stuff in the album is/will be for sale too, ask me if you can't find a separate thread.

Thanks.

It's a nice body, I'm just overloaded with projects and trying to be realistic about what's gonna get done...

Neck pocket typical of SX basses, fits a Fender J or P but is a little deeper (around 3/4" as opposed to 5/8" for my Fender Jazz). I'll see if I can get to it with an accurate metal ruler later this evening and can post measurements then.
