This is a T-40 project that took me a couple years to complete, just because it's hard to find all the parts!
I DO NOT have original T-40 knobs, a truss rod cover, a Peavey neck plate, tuning gears, phase switch or output jack (the tuners are on a different bass).
Neck:
$180 shipped
Body, loaded:
$175 shipped
Body, unloaded
$50 shipped
Pickups: $55/pickup, $100/combined shipped
Pickguard, loaded: $10 shipped
Bridge:
$50 shipped
Case:
$100 shipped
String tree:
$10 shipped/ free with neck
Dunlop Nickel 105-45 strings cut for T-40, played about half an hour: free with any other part
Whole bass, in case:
$300 shipped (anyone who owns a T-40 and case knows how heavy they are, and my price reflects exorbitant shipping fees)
Whole bass, sans case:
$275 shipped
If my prices seem odd or lopsided, it's because parting it out is kind of inconvenient, and I don't want to be left with just the body or pickupless bass. I'll adjust prices if you want multiple parts, too!
Honestly, I'd love to sell this in one go, but if you only want/ need a pickup or neck, that's fine. If you buy both pickups, I'll include the wiring harness (it needs a good once-over since I removed the phase switch; I can leave or remove the killswitch). I don't want to sell the unloaded pickguard because it's cracked and has a hole in it for the arcade button killswitch.
I chiselled a cavity for the arcade-button killswitch and sanded the body down (originally natural finish), and put on a couple coats of Minwax Ebony Stain (no top coat). In trying to remove the string-through ferrules, I broke the outer ring off of one, so I left them in while sanding/finishing.
Of course, if you're in Columbia, SC, you can save a little money on shipping!
