Trade Feeler: Loaded '73 Fender Precision body

Sign in to disble this ad
Here's what I have: an original 1973 Fender Precision body with mods. Candy Apple Red finish is original and has lots of honest player wear. Has been routed for a Jazz pickup. Pickups and electronics are non-original, and same for the anodized guard. As you can see, it's had the jack moved to the side of the body also. It's not lightweight - I don't have an accurate scale, but the whole bass assembled weighs about 10 lbs I believe.

Here's what I want: a vintage Precision body of similar era that's lighter weight, and preferably without the J pickup addition. Refinish is ok, really concerned more about weight than anything.

Long shot I'm sure, but I figured I'd put it out there to see. Thanks for looking!

Might consider trades on a newer (but still vintage) P bass, like a late '70s with mods or replaced parts. Obviously I would add cash if I were to trade this body for a whole bass.

Just throwing this to the top again. Still doubtful that the right trade exists, but you never know...

Maybe this bass will just become my "less than 2 hour" gig bass.

Sorry about that - forgot to close this thread. This body was traded (along with the rest of the bass) a while back. Thanks!
