There was a time when I legit had to cart around 2 basses to gigs. Now I've streamlined and just don't need this guy. Which is sad. I mean, how kickass is a massive leather gig bag. It's like this thing is a whole cow. It's been constructed better than many very expensive handbags that I've seen and I feel like it's going to last for ever.
It's a little scuffed, but well-cared for and well-loved. You can tell because there is a bit of a spot from where my bald noggin rubbed against the leather when I carried it. But I don't need it anymore. It's sitting in my closet and now that I've moved home, space is at a premium. I'm currently rocking the Levy's canvas bag that I bought for my first bass almost a decade ago after repairing the rip in the bottom (that was the excuse to buy this totally sweet $375 bass receptacle). I guess what I'm trying to say is: I'd like to replace it with something just as sweet, though since I know that I probably won't get enough money to straight out replace it, I'd like to trade for a single. For whatever reason, I've attached sentimental value to this hunk of veal skin, and I'd like to forget that it's gone with a new pretty thing.
Pics to come if I'm motivated enough tonight (or if someone really really really wants them).
Peace,
chris
