For Trade: Fender '57 P-bass Pickup, Raised 'A'

I have a AVRI '57 RI bass that kills, but the high 'A' raised pole piece pickup is really bugging me.

I will trade it straight across for a Fender Original Bass pickup (the cloth wired one with beveled pole pieces).

Have you tried shimming the pickup and between the casing? I've done it on my jazz bass pickups and it helped a lot. Not sure if those pickups you have can have the covers removed. Like 10 to 15 plys of painter's tape did the trick for me.
