VINTAGE SCHALLER 232 BASSBUCKER HUMBUCKER PICKUP - CREAM

Sign in to disble this ad
EDIT: One of these is gone. There is still one available.

I have two vintage (I think) NOS w/ all original packaging bass humbucker pickups. They are for narrower spacing (approx 5/8" pole to pole center). They are also 4 conductor + shield so you can coil tap them. They come w/ the following:

- Orignal plasitc case/packaging
- Cream humbucker w/ hex head adjustable pole pieces
- Hex key/wrench
- SPDT switch (for coil tapping)
- Instruction sheet
- Warranty card

The package says:

Inductance: 9 H
DC Resistance: 14 K Ohms

Coils parallel:
Inductance: 2.2 H
DC Resistance: 3.5 K Ohms

They are both in new condition. I'm looking for $55 each shipped each or $100 shipped for both.

I honestly do not know how they sound as I never got a chance to wire them up. (They're unused.)

They still make this 232 p/up. The website simply says, "The high-output pickup delivers a punchy low-end and a forceful midrange. Perfect from rock to blues."

Bass Humbucker () | Schaller-Electronic

Hope this helps.

BTW, one of these is sold pending payment.

I can't remember... I looked through my PM's, I usually like to save at least one pm from a transaction. I guess I cleaned them out a while back.
Maybe I could look for the sale thread and see if he posted on it.

I'm sorry, but I do not currently have a use for J p/ups.

I am however interested in trades for the following:

- Basslines SPB-3 Quater Pounder P
- Basslines SMB-4d MM style Humbucker
- Basslines 4000 series SRB-1 Ric replacement p/ups
- Dimarzio DP145 Will Power Neck
- Q-tuner pickups
- Lace Alumitone P or Humbuckers

I have not gotten a reply about the one pickup that was pending, BUT I did trade one for a Humbucker on my list. So, the other p/up is still available for $55 shipped OR I'll still trade for anything on the above list except the Basslines MM humbucker.

Thanks!

OK - I looked it all up and since the 5/8" spacing is typically a Jazz string position for the neck p'up, I'll take one.

PM me with an address and method of payment to you; I refuse to use PP though.

This might be what I need for my blonde surf bass I'll be making next.

Addition question:

Do these need a mounting ring?
