I have an unlined fretless neck I got off an an 80s project bass. I'd like to get a fretted neck for it, so I am selling the loaded fretless neck.
It's a nice'un. But I can't tell you much about it. There are no markings anywhere to indicate what it is, except some writing at the heel. It came off of a Chandler body, and it seems to be from the 80s--it has other parts which scream "I AM FROM THE 80s!!" (Badass II Bridge, DiMarzio pickups, Dual outputs like Billy Sheehan, Schaller tuners, Schaller Detuner). Chandler, from what I can tell, was like Warmoth, and had US made parts. So I believe it to be a Chandler neck.
Honestly, if anyone knows more please chime in. I'm happy to be corrected.
It could be a US fretless neck. Seems like an ebanol fretboard, but it could be ebony. Did they have ebanol back then? (If someone can tell me what the difference is, or if the difference is so obvious that I'm an idiot--then let me know). There are some dings and nicks, but generally it is in very nice shape. The fretboard is in very nice shape. It has yellowed nicely. But maybe it's not US. But I think it is.
2 7/16 ths at the heel, and a hair under 1 9/16 ths at the nut. Truss rod adjusts at the heel. Standard scale.
Also included are three Schaller BML tuners, and what is apparently a fairly rare Schaller Detuner. Functions great!
Looking for
150 shipped. If you want just the neck, or just the tuners, I don't mind splitting them up (but I will only sell the tuners as a set).
