This thing is cool -- and it certainly doesn't fit my current (or likely future) band's aesthetic. When I bought it, I was in a much heavier band and this sort of imagery worked. Since those days I've worn it a few times for gigs near Halloween, but it's mostly been waiting for a new home.
Back story: Bought from an LA pawn shop where the then-Vampirella model used to unload her props. It was used for a photo shoot, then she hocked it (and I bought it). Back then, I'm pretty sure I had a pic from the photo shoot with her wearing it, but several computers later I can't find it (and you get way too many hits when you Google -- I tried desperately to find the picture).
It's a bit over 5" wide in most parts -- plenty of support for even a heavy bass. Post hole to post hole, it adjusts as short as 41" and will extend to over 51". It seems to be made of soft, pebbly leather (feels nice, not suede and not shiny). Details (stitching, hardware, etc.) are nicely done and finished. It seems to be a professionally made strap. The creature part is quite realistic (even down to the rips in the skin -- which were original), but I'm pretty sure it's a nicely done simulation. The smudges and reveal "tears" are also original.
A nice, custom made strap of this size and quality would easily run you over $100 -- and none of them would be quite this cool (or weird, I admit that). $99/OBO shipped.
