Villex Passive Rotary Tone Booster (PRTB) with pots prewired

2 Attachment(s)
Here's a Villex PRTB passive Rotary tone control wired up with three 500k pots ( master Volume, neck pickup, bridge pickup, Villex)

All are only a few months old out of my Marco bass. New and unwired you'd spend over $115 for all of it then factor in a luthier wiring it for you...

$75 for all of it plus shipping.

Is this designed to work with pickups other than the Villex? With the Villex control set "flat" is it like not having it in there, or does it leave an imprint on the tone all the time?

Thanks!

Worked well with the hand wound pickups for my Marco bass. And my stipulation when I had it built was transparency. I wanted the sound of the bass vs the sound of electronics.

I replaced it with an equally transparent preamp— a Glockenklang. When it's set flat it sounds just like it did with the Villex.

I experienced no extra coloration, just a much wider tone flexibility than you could have with a regular tone knob. Thanks for checking it out!

And here I am considering pulling the Glock out of my Marco and going this route.
