Vintage 12ax7 / 5751 / 12au7 tubes

Vintage 12ax7 / 5751 /12au7 Tubes

I have a slew of vintage tubes that I purchased two years back from a ham radio buff neighbour of mine who himself had purchased all of the tube caddies from a retired TV repairman. The boxes themselves are pretty rough but the tubes themselves sound great and they are from the late '50's / early '60's. I don't have a tester but I tried them out in my MesaBoogie Walkabout to make sure they worked.

Here is what I have in "Group A":

SOLD - 1 x Brimar BVA 12ax7 - Made In England - NOS - SOLD!
SOLD - 1 x Amperex Bugle Boy 12ax7 - Made In Holland - NOS - SOLD!

SOLD - 3 x Amperex Bugle Boy 12au7 - Made In Holland - NOS - SOLD!
SOLD - 1 x Brimar BVA 12au7 - Made In England - NOS - SOLD!

I have decided to sell another vintage tube I was holding on to so I'm adding it in to the Group A:

SOLD! - 1 x Sylvania - JAN 5751 - double Mica gray plate - NOS - a pretty sweet tube - $15 all-in takes this. For those who don't know, 5751's are fully interchangeable with 12ax7's and there are many who prefer them as they are cleaner sounding. They smoke in my Walkabout! SOLD!

There are also a bunch of 12au7's that aren't as pretty / have faded lettering /appear to be used - the "Group B":

SOLD! 1 x JJ 12ax7 / ECC 83 - a modern tube that is pretty much the cream of the crop of the newer 12ax7's - used but still sound fantastic SOLD!
SOLD! - 2 x RCA 12au7 - SOLD!

Still available:
2 x 12au7a "K6V" - I'm not sure of the manufacturer
1 x Dumont 12au7 - I think this may be Amperex as it says "Made in Holland"

Group F - the short bus riders
1 x GE 12au7 - "black plate" very faded but the lettering style is definitely "GE" - this one used to sound good but when I checked it tonight on my Walkabout, it just sounded nasty.
1 x RCA 12au7 (labelled as "DuMont") - noisier than it should be but not as bad as the GE.

If you buy any of the other tubes and want either of these, you are welcome to them.

For the Group B tubes, I would like $8 (includes shipping) each.

If you want 2 or more, I'll combine shipping charges.

Thanks!

Stephen

FYI, I pulled the GE 12au7 and the DuMont/RCA 12au7 from sale as they didn't sound right when I double-checked them. All of the others are good to go!

1 x RCA 12au7, 1 x 12au7a "K6V", and 1 x Dumont 12au7 (the incognito Amperex) are on their way to ElephantTalk.

The list of remaining tubes has been revised accordingly.

The Sylvania 5751 and JJ 12ax7 are going home with d sage - thanks!

The following are still available:

2 x 12au7a "K6V" - I'm not sure of the manufacturer but I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) that they are American. They definitely are not Chinese or Russian!

1 x Dumont 12au7 - I think this one may be Amperex as it says "Made in Holland".
