Since I have various Warmoth builds going right now, this neck is free at the moment. I reserve the option to pull this posting should I need it again. Right now, I don't. Here are the details:
The finish was done locally by Marty Bell. He has been in the industry for many years and has supplied quality custom finishes as well as doing quantity work for WD Music products, Allparts and other companies. His work is top notch.
The finish on this neck is satin everywhere except the headstock which is gloss. If you look at the pics you will see the transition from gloss to satin on the headstock is perfect.
The finish has been given a medium vintage tint. This neck was completed about 4 months ago and has seen 8-9 gigs.
The fretboard has medium birdseye sprinkled throughout.
The frets are vintage stainless steel. ($20 upcharge)
The nut is Corian and was cut at Moze Guitars here in San Diego, their work is highly recommended.
This is a standard Warmoth neck with stainless steel reinforcing rods. The truss rod has light tension and the action can get very low if desired.
The back of the neck has slightly asymetrical C shape that has been painstakingly shaped into something that feels more like a Sadowsky Metro. This work was a labor of love and it turned out absolutely perfect.
34" scale
1 7/8" nut width
2 7/8" at the heel. (Fits Fender American Deluxe V 22 fret bass bodies and Warmoth Deluxe V platform bodies)
I have installed this neck on both body types, and the screw holes reflect that. No drilling required, you are good to go.
This neck is clear and fairly bright sounding with a VERY solid fundamental that also allows nice midrange textures to shine through. No dead spots. Sonically, this neck is real winner.
I'm gravitating to 1 3/4" nut widths at the moment which is the only reason this is up for grabs.
The tuners are Hipshot Ultralites, and the string trees are Hipshot.
The Warmoth decal is a sticker and peels off.
If you were to duplicate this project these would be your approximate costs:
neck unfinished $180
shipping $15
corian nut cut and install $105
finish $125
tuners $125
string trees $24
$574 total invested not including 10 hours of neck re-shaping, and hardware installation.
