Warmoth Dinky Jazz Body, 75 PUP Locations, Alp White + Relic

Sign in to disble this ad
I am selling my Warmoth Dinky J body. It is painted in alpine white poly from Warmoth. It was made in 2/26/2008 for me with the following options:

- Alder Wood
- Contoured Heel
- Single Battery Box
- Top Route and Rear Route
- 7/8" Side Jack
- 75' Fender Correct Pickup Locations

The custom routing allowed me to install either a plated preamp such as a J-Retro or an Audere, or to use a regular plate and preamp. I installed both an Audere and Sadowsky over its lifetime both with excellent results. It cost me $490 for this body.

FULL DISCLOSURE:

This is a hand-relic piece, meaning its got bumps, dings and a crack in the wood. These are from playing, not from an intentional relic. The crack is structural (not finish) but is not affecting the integrity of the body yet. It will need to be glued. There is also a chip on the bottom of the bass and another scratch along the top.

This would make for a great project for somebody who wants make a relic bass with many modern features. The body sounds absolutely wonderful and sings with amazing sustain.

I am including the Warmoth 2+2 Screws you will need to attach your neck to the body, and I'll throw in a plastic neck cover just to get it out of my parts bin. Also includes covers and battery box.

$125 Shipped OBO

Where is the crack? Are you referring to the chip at the back control cavity?

There is a crack that runs on the front side of the bass from the control route to near the bridge. I can provide the high res if you cant see the hairline (almost finish looking) crack. Its not through the wood, a little glue from a skilled wood worker and it would only look like a finish crack.. relic.

The pickguard holes are for any allparts pickguard. Gives you like 52 colors that will fit for under $40.

This is the bump I prayed that I would not ever have to make:

My bank account is overdrawn. We are struggling to figure out how to make this work at all. I'll never turn down help and hate asking for it, but please if you are in the market for a body buy this thing. And if your heart speaks to you, I can use some help.
