Warmoth finished P-body / w'ups/bridge/preamp

Sign in to disble this ad
Project bass body:

Warmoth Swamp Ash body with clear blue finish

This is a P-body that I had made for me in 2004; Rear route, side control, routed for two MM p'ups (as you can see). The finish is in very good condition, just a small chip on the lower side of the neck pocket.
  • Pickups are Seymour Duncan MM replacements;
  • Preamp is the Seymour Duncan 2 band (V / Pan / treb/bass stack).
  • Bridge is a Hipshot A bridge, aluminum.

New prices for all this:
Body: $390 (as per Warmoth web site)
Pickups: $180 (at Bestbassgear.com)
Preamp: $120 (at Bestbassgear.com)
Bridge: $96 (at Bestbassgear.com)

New price: 786 (Yikes - did I spend that much???)

I'll sell it as is for $350 + shipping.

Conus / Paypal. Money only, NO TRADES.

Thanks!!!

I wonder if those routes would fit a couple G&L MFD's?

Nope. I can tell you from experience; Those G&L pickups are narrower front-to-back.

Well, I went to the casino tonight with a system. lol...i was gonna come out with enough to buy this, but it failed me. (actually no system, just trying to be funny. hehe) Hey, it worked about 3 weeks ago, and i got my first 5 string out of it!! haha

On the off chance that I am able to convince the wife that this is the deal of a lifetime...would you be willing to sell the body unloaded?

Edit: oh yeah, and not to fret. You didn't spend that much.....im sure prices have gone up since 2004. You probably got it for the bargain price of $775.

Probably a dumb question but thats the way I roll!

Does it matter how many frets the neck would have?

Nope - as long as it's a standard 34" neck, it will do fine. What do you have in mind? *some* Fender & G&L necks do not play well with Warmoth bodies, so it's best to know up front.

Um, Yes it does!

a 24 Fret neck designed for a 34" Scale will need to bolt to the body Closer to the Bridge than a 20 Fret neck to maintain intonation...

Warmoth necks have fingerboard extensions, so their 24-fret necks fit in the same standard neck pocket and spacing.

Yup - those 24 Fret necks just have fretboard extensions. the neck itself is the same size (I've owned a few 24 fret warmoth necks... not my cup of tea - makes adjusting the truss a real PITA)
