As you can see, it has been drilled out to eliminate some weight. Nothing shows when the pickguard is installed.
The Jazz pickup is a neck dimension. The poles line up with the strings better using a gotoh 201 or fender bridge. Speaking of which. The bridge has threaded inserts.
