It's such a drag to search for a specific item and have to read dozens of threads that finally say "closed" at the end. What's the point of leaving old threads up? It's as easy to delete it as it is to close it.

Cheers,
Nick

I leave mine up for feedback purposes and for after sale confirmation info...etc.... |

AND, more critically, now the feedback system requires the presence of a sale thread in order to leave feedback. Sometimes (travel, communication issues, etc.) it is necessary to leave feedback long after the deal is done and the thread closed. |

There's currently not anything on the threads listing that shows that the thread is closed, so you have to click the link to open the thread to see that it is.
Is that possible? |

Maybe there could be a 'Closed Threads' section where those posts would automatically move when the OP closes the thread? That way, shoppers could still find those threads for research/pricing purposes, but it'll be out of the way of active threads. Possible?

Is that possible? | When the thread is closed it shows a lock on the outside...pretty easy to avoid those threads. |

Type SOLD next to the price! How am I supposed to know when someone is trying to make $3 off that pedal they got last week for a good deal HMM?? I need leverage! |

Since so many basses, equiptment, etc., change hands to other TB'ers .... it's nice to know what someone paid for it, before you can actually know its a good deal, or a deal you can live with.
*** Also, I'm with TimWilson... if something is sold or traded ..... Please close the thread! I'm a bit tired of contacting someone or reading through a thread .... just to find out it's no longer available. ***

I need leverage! | I'm in TOTAL AGREEMENT with this request. It is frustrating that the price gets deleted. I wish that this could be passed on to the other forums as well.
Also, I assumed that this was the job of the Mods to police the threads to see if the item was sold but not closed.

Nothing is more frustrating that frantically clicking through threads trying to find an average price, and all of them just say SOLD!(sorry buddy, you're on your own here!) At that point, you've already gone through 5 threads on the gear, listened to 3 soundclips, and lost almost 8 precious minutes! Time is of the essence, and I need to know what these damn things sell for. Don't make me guestimate the rate of depreciation on this 4 year old, retail of $289, low production pedal that didn't catch on, but sounds great!
