WTT: Assorted 5 String Tapered Sets...

...for non-tapered sets. I've got an assortment of 34" and 35" Sadowsky, LaBella, and Smith tapered string sets which do not work well with either of my Roscoe Century 5er's. Please PM me if you have anything of interest or need addt'l details re: string types / gauges.

Whatcha looking for? I've got a few sets here...including a Red Devils set cut for my Lull that I don't really care for.

I'm looking for .040's.

Gosh, nothing in a 40 at the moment. Here's what's on deck:

(1) Smith Med. Light Taper Core 44-63-80-102-125

(2) LaBella Nickel Wrapped Slappers 45-65-85-105-128

(2) Sadowsky Bright Nickel (34") 45-65-85-105-130

The Smiths might work but they're nothing like the Carvins you've been using. You can keep the Red Devils, thank you.

....I know some of you jolly jokers could use some NIB 5 string sets with tapered B's. The Smith set is a strange agent as 3 (IIRC) of the strings are tapered. I really need the conventional wraps for the basses on hand. If you have something of interest but no need for a trade, I'll go the cash route.

Don't see a product # but they're described as: taper core / med.-light-5 / 44-63-80-102-125. If not traded, I'll probably just keep them and use them on another 5 string, just not the Roscoes.

Would these strings work on a fanned fret Bass? Is the B at least for a 35 Inch Scale? I'm thinking about your labella's

Good question(s)! The LaBellas should fit a 35" scale bass with no problem. The Sadowskys are 34" but I have one extra long (35") set.

The LaBellas are Slappers / SN45B which are 35", nickel wrapped, and come with a tapered B. 45-65-85-105-128.

The Sadowskys are Bright Nickels / SBN45B which are 34", nickel, and come with a tapered B. 45-65-85-105-130T.
