Yellow Pearloid P-bass Pickguard

Bought this from Choppers Music on eBay and set it aside for two months while I was working on a refinish. Upon opening it, I saw that it wasn't nearly as gold as it was yellow, so I've scrapped the idea of a pickguard on the bass. I took a picture of it next to a manilla envelope for color comparison.

It's never been used and it still has the original plastic covering on it (as you can see, it's peeling off in the top left corner). Standard volume, tone, and jack cut-outs.

I could use the extra cash for some tuition money, so I'm pricing it for a quick sale.

question: if I did some amputation of the little control tail, and did some re-drilling of the holes, d'you think this would fit a jazz bass? cause the little neck pocket and the arm for the horn at the top look like they'd fit, and i could just cut off the tail and make it fit... probably a long shot though.
