Big outdoor shows this weekend, several hundred people per show and the Barker was the bell of the ball. Lots of people asking questions, players checking it out, handed out some literature and in general had a ball.

One of the soundmen also techs for a big corporate band and was extremely interested.

Not to mention me haveing a blast playing it.

Thanks, Joel, for the update, for the invaluable PR, and for helping us along. That is very much appreciated here at the MotherShip. It sounds like you had a great time, and we're tickled to be a part of that.

Slightly different buzz arena:

Somewhere there's a T Shirt that says, "sometimes when I'm alone I Google myself." Well, guilty as charged, except that sometimes I Google 'Barker Bass' and this weekend I found this thread:

Ed, thanks to you, too, for helping in the buzz department!

Sometimes I think everyone who buys a Barker delights in answering the inevitable questions about their instrument. And that's a good thing!

Other stories about buzzossity?

Kindly,

Lee

What, some stealtheft of the Barker shape?

check the logo here: http://www.prnewswire.com/mnr/sunmicrosystems/27593/

I'll take the publicity, thanks Sun.

[Laughing!] Funny I hadn't noticed that before.

On the other hand, maybe you both stole the shape from the silhouette sequences near the beginning of most Bond movies.
