Barker In The Studio!

I just got done recording a CD with the Barker Bass as the only bass on the CD. My experience with the Barker in the studio was incredible! The tone it produced was "Smooth and Creamy".

I wanted to start a thread telling peoples stories of the Barker in the Studio. with peoples reactions to the barker.

Heading into the studio in early '09. Let's have some details.

Direct into console? Miking the amp? Rounds? Flats?

C'mon, cough it up

Wayfarin' Will

I talked to him last night, between sets at some gig, and today he heads out for some time on the road. I'll bug him for answers to the good questions posted here.

Meantime he sent me some sound files from the sessions, and I am afraid I must agree--the bass sounds, well, very good. To me. And I have a subwoofer and I know how to use it.

Apologies for the tardy response. Things have been pretty busy... I went directly in the the console for my recordings, and used LaBella TapeWound Strings (The "stock" String).

I would recommend useing the barker in the studio to anybody. It has such a constant tone that you cannot get with so many other basses in the studio.
