NAMM 07

This is the Advance Notice: We'll be there, booth 1441, Hall E. Very easy to find: We are in the exact geographical center of the room.

If you are there too, please stop and say the secret word--Talkbass--and get a free bag of Oregon hazelnuts.

And talk bass with the Oregon Nuts, Linda and Lee.

If you do get there, feel free to post your NAMM tales here. We'll submit a full report when we get home. And we'll have pictures.

The company owner, that irascible, moody, prone-to-wander-around-looking-at-his-shoelaces guy with no hair on top, built a Showstopper Brio Fretless....tiger maple, padauk, and other woods. We'll have images later.

If, that is, Iotanet ever gets far enough away from it so we can
shoot the pictures.

Kindly,

Lee

Just a quick note to say we're home, as of late Tuesday afternoon. The Bassmobile is not yet unloaded--that will be tomorrow in the daylight at the shop. For now, we are thrilled to be able to sleep in our own bed (NAMM requires we spend 8 nights in several different motels) and to use full sized soaps.
If you were among the many who stopped by to say hello and see the Brio, we thank you. If you weren't among those, I'll post a brief report in a few days. I'll warn you now--it will be laced with shameless namedropping. I suppose we'll be hearing from other TBers who were there too and have their own points of view.

A very important thank you, right up front. Some very kind friends help us with amplification equipment at NAMM.

We want to present the Barker Bass in the very best way, and we do that with the finest plugin stuff on the planet.

So thanks to:

Dan and Gene at Gallien Krueger for the 400RB combo;

Trip and Uwe at Salwender for the Glockenklang Soul head and cabinet;

Mark and David at Accugroove for the tri 112 cabinet.

You really made us sound good! We are very grateful

Lee and Linda

Welcome home, my Friend.

As always, it was a joy and pleasure to spend time with the Barker Family. It was even better to see the Brio in all it's glory ... it's a winner!

Get some sleep -- we look forward to reading your report!!!
