I was having trouble A/B-ing my Barker and P-bass through my pedalboard. Loved the sound of the Barker PUP, it just was putting out less gain than the P-bass.

A studio engineer friend of mine let me try out a tube pre-amp made by ART called a TUBE M-PRO. The result: Tons of gain, does not color the sound, quiet as a church mouse and easy to use. Doubles as a direct box too. Color me happy.

So Joel do you have that dual quad four barrel carb attached to the stand, or is it part of your impressive electronical backline array, or do you have someone in a butler costume stand there and hold it while you play?

Inquiring minds, who follow the meteoric rise of Gregg Juke and the Mighty No-Stars, want to know...

Sitting at my desk and daydreaming about playing. Wandering through past posts I found this that I never replied to. Strange for me as I live on this forum.

The powerful little electronic dynamo lives on my pedal board next to the recently added BOSS ME 50B Multi-effects and my trusty DOD envelope filter. Having a ball with tiny amounts of reverb and the de-fretter effect.

I had to fire the butler as he refused to haul any gear.
