In light of the positive talk of this unit and because my Barker Brio was scheduled for a routine set-up, I decided to have a Stellartone custom tone control installed. I decided on the click postion model.
I have played with it awhile now.
It does everything as advertised. Shaves off narrow bands of treble in precision fashion leaving the mids completely alone.
It is almost in a sense like adding midrange.
My repair guy was impressed as well and he isn't easily impressed.
Coupled with the flatwounds, the Stellartone enhances even more the warmth and woodiness I get from the instrument.
I'm glad I did this. Thanks Lee, for turning me on to this mod.
