I'm one of Lee's brothers-in-law, and I've even helped rough-cut a couple of pieces of Barker Basses. I know the quality and care that goes into them, and if I ever decide to play the bass, I know where I'll go. I do play the trombone, sometimes, so I know the bass clef pretty well. I sing bass, too, but don't play one.
Seriously, you ought to try a Barker Bass--you won't go wrong with either the instrument or the company.
