Ibanez SR300 or Cort Curbow4

Good evening, i'm from greece, and here in greece we don't have the best, ''music'' market, soo i don't have the chance to walk around 3,4 or 5 shops to see basses and test them.

Now, i'm looking for a bass around 400 much euros, for playing mostly with my band, metal, recording, and practising, but most important my band.

I'm between them:

http://www.thomann.de/gr/cort_curbow4mic.htm

offcourse i'm keeping an eye for others, but in the price i have to give, these are most likely (always for me) the good ones, also i care a bit on the appearence.

I would kindly ask for advises and help fellow bass players and suggestions if you have something more for me!

For the mods and admins, sorry if i'm posting in a wrong section or anything, just arrived in the land xD

I would say go with the SR300 Since i've played with it and its a good bass for the money but from the looks of it, the Cort looks like a decent bass as well and it sounds great. Whichever you get, you wont be upset but I suggest the SR300 since it's a brand I trust.

We are Inbanez dealers, so we are partial to Ibanez over the Curbow piece... But you might want to see if you can find an MTD Kingston model to consider as well!

Peace!

I own a SR300 and I absolutely love it.

The feel of the neck is very nice as well. Quite slim, and it doesn't warp easily. It is quite the durable instrument.

The sound is very nice as well. I can get a wide range of tones with it. For example I can get a nice Steve Harris sound on the "finger style tone" to a wonderful Flea sound on the "Slap Style tone".

The only problem I have with it is that, on the bridge, it rattles a little bit on the E and D strings. I think I need to tighten it a little bit.

I hope you find a bass you like soon!
