I have a 700W SWR 4ohm Head with a SWR 6x10+2horns 600W cab.
I also have a 500W GK 8ohm Head with GK 4x10 4ohm cab + 1x15 8ohm cab.
Now if I was to pre-amp these together would I get a 1200W head at 6 ohms? How would it work out? Would I have to not use a cab to not blow anything ect? Thanks in advance.
There is no way that I know of to bridge 2 separate power amps together safely. If you have a stereo amp like the SM900 you can bridge the left and right power amps contained in the head to increase your power, but I don't think you can safely do that with what you have... Usually a stereo amp just has a switch on it that says bridged/mono and stereo. That's safe to use.
I am a little confused, what exactly do you mean by "preamp them together"? It sounds like you are trying to bridge your 2 amps together like you would be able to if you had a stereo head. Is that correct?
