punk bass?

well the title say it all i just need to know what kind of bass is good for punk(bad religion, rise against)
by now i use a ibanezgsr200

stingray will give you the punch you need to cut through 2 guitarists, but if you've only got one guitarist then go for a P-bass to thicken up the mix a bit.

If you can locate one, a late 70's Guild B-301 has a great bottom end with good clarity and is totally bizarre looking. I picked one up at a Flea Market for $300, but I've seen them for about $600 on the internet.
