| The perfect bass is a sponsored forum for theperfectbass.com if I remember right, not a forum for helping people find the perfect bass, lol. It's okay, new guy mistake.
While I love my ibanez, the quality of squier's has been getting better and better. The affinity series appears to be the exception though. I'd try out a squier classic vibe or vintage modified series bass. Those things are really great for the price. The ibanez might take a little getting used to in terms of feel, but they still sound good. If you have the opportunity to test one out, id definitely do it before making a purchase.
Good luck.
