they're all different volumes!!?!?!?!?

i don't know why either. dean edge, 6 string, fretless. nice bass, it really is. sounded fine through my solid state, processed and blah blah blah, you know the drill. plug it into the tube amp with no effects or anything and i discover all the strings are a different volume. makes me cry. how do i fix this? simple setup issue, or a deeper much angrier problem? please aid me
