We're actually pretty interested in Elrick. You may see then here before too long!

Every time I mention them (I'm such a fanboy lol) there's loads of interest from North American members who are always gutted to find out they have no american distributor. I think it'd be a great opertunity to corner a market segment, there's nothing else quite like Tech. I suggest you get in touch with the guys and see what they think to the idea, I think it could work out sweet for all parties involved, Tech would welcome an overseas presence, TPB would be the sole US distributor and so gain the custom of everyone who wanted Tech gear in the US and TBers would get the mighty GAS quenching cabs. 'Tis all good .

I think that as far as fretless semi hollow bodies are concerned, they are the best on the planet.
Yes they are high end, but man are they great sounding. I literally didn't have to carry a 3/4 size upright around because I had access to one of his mb2 fivers for a while.
The sound is astonishing, and they really do sound like an upright.
For me lined is the way to go, but you can get both.
Also, what about MTD strings?
Thanks for all your help

Joel Bryant | Hey JB!
I'll have to take a look at the Rob Allen stuff at NAMM...we'll be at the Austin show looking for new gear!
The MTD strings are good, but we haven't yet picked them up. They're a bit pricey, but the players who like them SWEAR by them... We'll more than likely have the MTD strings in sometime soon as we are indeed a larger MTD dealer!
Peace!

Given your TB discount almost mitigates the usurous importing fees we face, the additional shipping savings would make you the best deal going for us that I know of, and I shop around a lot.
Cheers. | Sorry Smash...wish we could! Unfortunately, International shipping is a bit more difficult for a commercial operation of our size than most would think...
I'll get back to you via email shortly. It's been a long day... |

Bergantino (esp. an IP series cab) and Schroeder cabs
Dean Markley strings (blue Steels)
Ashdown amps and pedals
That being said, great store! As soon as house renovations are done, I'm driving up to Baton Rouge to try out some pedals.

I know it's a stretch, what about taking trade ins? You could have a give a ballpark dollar amout by the year model and condition as claimed by the owner, and adjust it according to the actual condition of the bass. You could require detailed photos prior to shipping it in, and trade in value towards equipment purchases only..whether it be new or previously owned.
Just a thought... it would put me a little closer to that Sterling HS (F14083)
Thanks for your time James...

We actually do take trades... But we are fairly selective in what we take in. As a rule of thumb we prefer to take in gear of makes that we currently carry.
Unfortunately, it's with ebay out there, when we do have used gear, we have to beat prices that you could otherwise find on ebay. We also have to move used gear quickly so that we can re-order whatever it was traded in on.
The result is that usually you can expect to get a little more on the open market that what we can give on a trade. But for some, the convenience of not having to sell their gear is worth the difference.
Note: If you bought the used piece from us, we tend to offer a little more for it. We also do indeed ask for pics before we'll make an offer and reserve the right to refuse or adjust our trade offer upon review of the trade when it reaches the shop. BUT...we DO NOT inflate the sale price of new gear in order to make up for a weak trade. Our prices are the prices no mater what "deal" or promotion we have going on them and we offer what we feel are fair trade prices based on what we need to stay in business.
Another option that we offer is consignment. If you have a piece that you need to move, you can send it to us on consignment and we set the price WITH you. The fee is 15% of the sale price, but is another option that allows our customer to get a little more than what we might offer on a trade.
We DO NOT buy used gear though. We will take a trade if we think we can move the piece, but we're known as a dealer that carries 99.9% NEW gear, so we're not up for buying used gear. (I only mention this because we get lots of people asking us to buy gear)
Anyway, if you do have a trade, it doesn't hurt to get in touch if you're in the market for something new! At a minimum, we'll let you know what we think the gear is worth on the open market via ebay or other...
Peace! |

Peace! | Good to see that there's another GK dealer out there that entirely stands behind their line. I assume you'll be stocking NEO's as well? I can't think of many dealers that stock them.
Would be nice to see Dimarzio's perhaps. And Nordstrand pickups.

I think some people don't see on the site and go someplace when in fact you can order it and get it in within a week or something like that. Just throwing it out there.

Not quite sure why you stock Traben. I cant really take that brand seriously.
