Talking Warwick Thumb bass my favorite bass ever!

I think that the Warwick Thumb bass is the greatest bass ever! it's active but can turn passive at the flip of a switch! The best tone , cuts through, very versatile!

Thumb

I would agree, at least based on my experience. I have played bass for a long time...and owned hundreds of basses, but shyed away from Warwick because I thought they were heavy and overpriced. Then I bought my Thumb Bolt-On used and had my mind blown (particularly when I put TI flats on the bass).

Now I am wondering, is there another Warwick for me that offers even more of what I like, but doesn't weigh a ton?

I've had my thumb bass for a while now and think it is truly one of the best basses that I've played. Mine is the broad neck 5 string version with soap bar style pickups. More of a rounder tone than the single coils, IMO. I can get almost any tone that my little heart desires out of this thing with just the on board pre amp. 90% of the time, I play with my amp eq settings at 12 o'clock and just let the active electronics do the work. Plenty of eq range.

Enough cannot be said about these basses, the quality and craftsmanship that went into my Thumb bass is second to none.
