what is best amp to get more deep sound out of Tocama ABG

My newest bass is a 4 string Tacoma Thunderchief. I was playing through my California Blonde amp with blonde on blond speaker cabinet alongside a 6 string acoustic guitar last night. It was a great blending experience until one of the guys started playing a 4 string electric bass. It was then that I realized how much deep bottom was missing from my sound. So here is the question , What can I add to my onboard fishman pickup that get my bottom sound deep enough to fulfill my basic job as a the bass player? Otherwise I’m playing what feels like a bit deeper than a baritone guitar which is OK but I want to use this bass for more live structures that mandate a strong supporting bottom end. Is it simply adding an additional preamp box or is there a favorite amp that support this ABG. thanks BASSVOICE

A preamp might be helpful. Or you might want to try a different amp/cab or combo... We carry Genz-Benz which is very popular for the weight/portability/price. Or if you're looking for something a little more high end, you might try the new Aguilar TH500 head on the new SL112. Very light weight, cab that looks really cool, and if you need more volume, you can add a second 112 and still have a compact, lightweight, high end rig!

However, your problem may not be the amp. Have you tried adjusting your EQ on the amp? What about different strings? Sometimes new or different strings will produce a better tone.

Good luck!
