I have (had) the exact same one - mine has never froze up or froze, but sometimes (because of the massive memory this model has) it takes a few seconds longer when changing screens for the next screen to 'load'/'be available'.... (I gave mine to my wife and got a touch - she's still used to the speed of her 8 gig Nano...)
